What a great weekend!  The sun came out and shone on us the whole time.  The Wine Tour/Poker Run took us to 5 local wineries, 3 new ones and 2 from last year that we had to go back to!  Friday’s BBQ was a great place to catch up with everyone and the Band was awesome!!  The Blue Healers came down from Kelowna and we’ll gladly use them again… Thanks Boys!!  Our hosts outdid themselves again and made us all feel so welcome that we didn’t want to go home!  On Saturday we were able to try out our new location for the Show’n'Shine and we are so glad the Town of Osoyoos has allowed us to move down to Gyro Park.  Everyone who registered LOVED the new location without hesitation!!  We took the Beach Cruise back to the Beach!!  This year we had a mini-cruise through town prior to our main cruise, allowing some of the residents to see the beautiful cars from their front yard.  The Helm Family hosted us again for our awards and door prize drawing.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  Your place never ceases to amaze, no matter how often I’ve been there.  Each year when we have someone new join us, you can literally see their jaw drop as they wander the grounds and try to take it all in.  Saturday evening was a great time for our participants to enjoy some of our restaurants and pubs and have a little free time.  We hosted a ‘Fastest Jalopy’ heads up race on Sunday during the WCRA Drag Races and while the competition was close, the trophy and prize money stayed in Canada this year.  Mark and Rob, you guys put up a great fight, maybe next year?   Thank you to the WCRA for putting on a such a great event and letting our registrants in as spectators with their Cactus J wrist bands.  We love working with you and hope to see you again back at the track next year!

Well… this is it!!  By Thursday you will hopefully be packed and on the road to join us for one of the best little rod runs in the west!!  We have lots of fun planned, some free time for you to enjoy our little town (some amazing restaurants to try out Saturday night) and Drag Races to cap it all off!  Can’t wait to see you!!

Wow, it’s almost that time of year again!! Until we get the real Cactus Jalopies website updated, JF Kustoms has been gracious enough to let me grab a page in here. Thanks JF Kustoms!!

I’ve done it!!!! Finally you can download the registration form below (as a pdf) (LINK REMOVED) and get it sent in!! You can also find us on Facebook where you can check out past years pictures and share memories with past Rod Runners.

Please don’t hesitate to share the link to this page with ANY car nut that you think would like to try our little rod run in the desert. We have way laid back fun and love to see new faces and their rides!!
